Dr. Jim Constantz recently visited Australia through the Cotton CRC Scientific Exchange program with Dr. R.W. Vervoort (The University of Sydney) and Mr. Dawit Berhane (NSW Department of Water and Energy), and kindly agreed to give a seminar at the Australian Cotton Research Institute, Narrabri. This seminar focussed on the practical application of heat tracing for measuring deep drainage and transmission losses.

Dr. James Constantz is one of the leading scientists in the area of measuring transmission losses and groundwater/surface water interaction in channels and rivers using the thermal method. He has published widely on this topic and is recognised as an expert in the area.
