Enviro-Readers is a competition based education program for Primary Schools based on the pedagogy of Kids Teaching Kids. The competition fits within the Cotton CRC’s Education and Training program and aims to undertake activities that will promote science and agriculture in primary schools.
This program engages teachers, students and their parents. Students get the opportunity to learn about their local environment, write a story about it, then get their story published to help inform other students about their environment.
These readers provide an educational experience that creates readers, written about local issues, by local kids, for local kids.
The Cotton Catchment Communities CRC, in conjunction with the Central West Catchment Management Authority, is providing you with the opportunity to join in on this exciting and innovative competition using the expertise of PeeKdesigns’ environmental and educational consultants.
Together we can enhance our children’s learning so that they can teach others about our local environment.
