Good plant moisture status is critical in the first 20 days after flowering to allow potential fibre elongation rates.
The Cotton Catchment Communities CRC has significantly increased its capacity to interact with the wider community with the launch of its new website www.cotton.crc.org.au
The new site contains a wealth of information, including ‘Cotton in a Nutshell’, fun facts, people profiles, project summaries and easy to use web-based production tools are just some of the new additions.
“We are delighted to announce the launch of the new Cotton CRC website. The fresh and interactive site is easy to navigate with dedicated areas for industry, catchment and community information” said Cotton CRC’s, Communication Officer Yvette Cunningham.
“Communicating with industry, surrounding communities and catchment bodies is a primary aim of the Cotton CRC and the new web site is integral in achieving this”.
Yvette said public feedback has been an important part of the redesign process for the new site and will continue to be a focus for future developments.
“The new website will keep the community up to date with the latest cotton industry research, upcoming events and activities”.
“It is also a great resource for school projects with everything from basic cotton facts to detailed information regarding research projects, links to regional catchment bodies and local community information”.
The Website launch took place at the Australian Cotton Exhibition Centre, Narrabri, giving people from industry, government bodies and teachers from local schools the chance to navigate the new website and meet the Cotton CRC team.
