This month’s featured achiever is Susan Maas. Susan is the Central Queensland Regional Extension Officer, based out of Emerald.

Susan has had a long involved with the Cotton CRC, initially starting out in a Natural Resource Management role then moving into specialised regional extension. Throughout her time in the industry Susan has published numerous information packages, assisted in developing decision tools and has become a key champion in integrated pest and disease management.

Susan always exhibits leadership within the industry through her commitment, innovation, consistent communication and dedication. This is seen through her role with the Crop Protection National Priority Team and her timely coordination and response to emerging issues such as the Tobacco Streak Virus in Emerald.

Susan win’s this month’s award for not only her exceptional extension activities and outcomes, but for going ‘above and beyond’ in her commitment to effective service delivery, to researchers, local consultants and growers alike.

Congratulations Susan on setting the bar in servicing our industry.
