  • In the 2000-2001 cotton season, the gross value of Australian cotton lint production peaked at AUD$1.88 billion, with 819 kt of cotton lint produced.
  • The 2007-2008 cotton season saw exports fall back to levels not seen since the late 1980’s. due mainly to the effects of drought.
