Capture of a Mirid on a Stem by a Plain Brown Lynx Spider
Capture of a mirid on a stem by a plain brown lynx spider (Oxyopes molarius) . The lynx spider leaps from above,  lunging with her first 2 pairs of legs and hanging on her dragline. This species is the best predator of mirids in cotton found to date. Facing downwards on a stem is one of the most common ambush positions for this species, capturing mirids as they move up the plant.
